Update coming soon.

Over the past few months, we've gone dark here at the blog. We were extremely busy in production, filming "Matthew Cichella's Poetic" and then keeping a steady pace with post production. We'll have lots of news on that in the next few days, as well as some news on the next feature film by Never Submit Entertainment, INFAMOUS. Keep an eye out ...updates coming very soon!

Two HUGE announcements!

To start things off we just want to apologize for the lack of updates here in the blog. The production process for Poetic has kept us extremely busy so while we have been updating our Facebook page along the way, the blog has slowed down considerably. We hope to get things back to a regular Sunday update again and are using this blog to catch everyone up, as well as announce some very exciting new information.

So with that said.... let's get to it, shall we?

Raymond Did It ...does that ring a bell?

In February 2011, an indie horror filmed entitled Raymond Did It changed the way the Midwest looked at independent filmmaking.

Raymond did premiered in Rockford, Illinois on a cold winter Friday night to a sold out audience. A temendous positive response, as well as more showings around the midwest, not to mention Los Angeles and New York, all led to one thing ...Raymond Did It garnering distribution.

The man behind the astounding success? Rockford filmmaker Travis Legge.

By now, mostly everyone who is reading this already knows the success of Raymond Did It, as well as prrobably already knows Travis himself. He's a popular guy. But there is one thing you don't know ....and we're about to tell you.

Travis Legge has officially joined the production of Matthew Cichella's Poetic!

Travis will be lending his support and talents in many different ways. First and foremost, he's coming on board as an Executive producer, helping oversee the entire production from start to finish, but he'll also be lending his talents in a much more prominent way.

Remember those bad ass kill scenes in Raymond Did It? Yeah, you know ones. Five words: Curtain rod, lawnmower, washing machine. Get ready because Travis will be lending his special FX talents to Poetic and if Raymond Did It was any indication ...there will be blood ...and lots of it.

And lastly, as if that we're enough, the self-proclaimed workaholic will be doing one more thing for the film - editing. Travis will bring the man taking all of the aspects - the creative vision of Matthew Cichella, the astounding talents of our amazing cast and crew and his own vision - and merging them all together to solidify Matthew Cichella's Poetic and complete Never Submit Entertainment's first feature film.

While Travis is extremely busy and hard at work on his upcoming web series, Legacy of the Masque, we were able to catch up with him and this is what he had to say about coming on board the production of Matthew Cichella's Poetic.

"I've known Matt for years." Travis explained, when asked about joining Poetic. "I was thrilled beyond words to see this guy's determination and love of filmmaking. When the opportunity arose to join the crew of Poetic, I knew I couldn't pass it up."

Who is Cowboy?

Previously, we announced that Giovanni Pauletti, the actor most well known as his role as Jimmy Stevens in FAMOUS, was going to be appearing in the film as the renegade killer simply known as Cowboy. Things have changed since that last update and today we want to fill you in on the new details.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Giovanni Pauletti is no longer attached to Poetic. Never Submit Entertainment is very thankful for all of Giovanni's hard work and dedication to our previous films, and we wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors.

With that said, you must be asking yourself, so who is Cowboy? Well, allow us to answer that question....

Marv Blauvelt joins the cast of Matthew Cichella's POETIC!

Over the past few weeks we've unveiled the cast for Matthew Cichella's Poetic and it really has been a who's who of mid-west actors and actresses. On our way to boasting the most star-studded cast for an independent mid-west film in recent memory, we have ANOTHER really big announcement for the cast.

Never Submit Entertainment is proud to announce that Marv Blauvelt, one of the founders of "Muscle Wolf Productions", has signed on to play the role of Hank. Marv can be seen in several horror independent films, Lethal Obsession, Inhumane and Mother's Blood - to name a few. While this is a cameo spot for Marv, it's a great addition to the story and we at Never Submit Entertainment are very glad to welcome Marv to the Never Submit Family.

"I am very excited to be cast in a pretty cool "cameo" in Matthew Cichella's horror feature "POETIC" Marv said, when asked about appearing in the film. "Great script, great cast - many of whom I have worked with on other projects before - and I get to work with another great mid-western film-maker like Matthew Cichella, It's gonna be alot of fun!"

The "cameo" that Marv is playing is being kept under lock and key, but writer and director Matthew Cichella assures us it's one that fans will love and really enjoy the surprise.

"The cameo I came up with for Marv is great! It's really awesome in the sense that not only does it play to Marv's strengths as an actor, but it also blends very nicely with the story of Poetic." Matthew explains. "We don't want to give it away, as it's really a fun scene. I think everyone is going to be very happy with what we put together. It's just one more element that makes Poetic that much more bad ass!"

More cameos, crew and supporting roles will be announced in the coming weeks, as we continue to roll out this all-star cast!

Interview with Mitch Wright II and another POETIC casting announcement!

Interview with Producer Mitch Wright II

Over the past few months many fans from Never Submit Entertainment have heard comments from the founder of NSE, Matthew Cichella. We've heard him discuss how Never Submit came together with Innocent Looks and how it was followed up with FAMOUS and so forth. We have also heard him discuss his business partner, the other half of Never Submit Entertainment, Mitch Wright II, on many occasions. We know Mitch is involved with every production from the development stage to the completion stage, but for the past year Mitch has been relatively quiet. Not making his presence all that known.

Today that is going to change. We caught up with Mitch Wright II, while he was out and about in his hometown of St. Joseph, MO - doing pre-production work for POETIC. From what we were told he was looking for for western gear for the "Cowboy" character. While Mitch was keeping business getting all the ducks in a row for POETIC, he did take a few moments to sit down and talk with us.

1. So you're one half of the tag team known as Never Submit Entertainment. Matthew Cichella, the other half of the team, has gone on record and stated your influence is just as important to the
projects as his is. How did you become involved with the company and is this a fair assessment?

- Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of breaking into the entertainment industry, whether it be by my musical talents or my imagination and empathy to focus into the human Psyche. Growing up I never would have thought I would be doing the latter. Reading Matthew's screenplays made me want to bring those stories to life, thus mine and Matthew's "Company" was born.

As for the influence of projects, I would say that I have a very strong influence. From the writing of the script to the finishing of the film I have a hand in it all. But I think I shine when I'm on set, from the technical issues all the way down to "quiet on the set!" is my job. But having a 3 man crew makes it easy for me to have all of those responsibilities. I have to make sure that Matthew can focus on the actors and actresses for the common goal of making a fantastic film to the best of our abilities.

But as to the question, "Do I think it's a fair assessment?" We've both been stressed out to the breaking point and have both lost sleep over our films.. so yes, I think it's a fair assessment.

2. Take us back to June 2010, the "technical" birth of Never Submit Entertainment,  that of course being the filming of Innocent Looks.Tell us a little about how that transpired.

- Innocent Looks transpired from a phone call. In that phone call Matthew told me he wanted to film a short film to prove that he could make a film. All I could say was, "Thank you God, he's back! It's about damn time." The story of Innocent Looks was a surprise to me due to the fact I didn't have a hand in writing it, but that aside, I was fully on-board. The filming of Innocent Looks was actually
fairly easy and straight forward. There were no major problems except we couldn't get the cars driving down the street to be quiet and to stop running over our extension cords for the lights. Melissa Revels and Ty Yaeger were great to work with and did a great job.

3. We've heard Matthew talk about Innocent Looks at the On The Waterfront premiere and how the ovation was simply amazing, but it's been quite some time and you have never publicly commented on the event. How was that event for you? What was it like seeing your dream finally coming true on the big screen?

- I felt like a kid in a candy store. Like everything was mine for the picking. No words could possibly explain the way I felt. It was that amazing. Just seeing the Never Submit Entertainment logo when it started  made me think, "Wow, we did it. We finally f*ckin did it!" As for the ovation, it was completely unexpected, my heart jumped into my throat, I almost teared up.. who am I kidding, I did
tear up. All the years of wanting to live the life as a film maker and I'm finally here, so yeah a man can tear up when his dreams have come true!

4. Speaking of not publicly speaking, you've been more of a behind the scenes producer up until recently, can we look forward to seeing and hearing from you more or have you just come out of the shadows recently for the promotional push for the release of FAMOUS?

- Slowly but surely I'm trying to get into the networking place, I'm more of a face-to-face speaker but I'm trying. So if you ever see me on Facebook and want to know whats going on, just give me a shout, I'm more than willing to help out any way I can!

5. FAMOUS was your first film to be distributed world wide, whether it was on DVD or digitally on Film Rogue. What is it like after so many years of hard work to finally see your film available for the world to see? Not only that, but to see if out and getting mainly positive reviews?

- 1 word.. Thankful. Thankful of everyone who supported us by buying the film. Even to those that told us we should give up these pipe dreams and to not quit our day jobs, for if not for those people egging me and Matthew on, we wouldn't be where we are are today!

6. Up next on the horizon for Never Submit Entertainment is Innocent Looks 2. Sure seems like this could become a franchise and a staple player for the On The Waterfront film festival. What's your thoughts on Innocent Looks 2 and is this being planned as a yearly short film?

- It sure looks that way doesn't it? It has been discussed and is still in the fetal stage for that idea. As for Innocent Looks 2 it is going to be a one hell of a film. I remember a phone call where I asked Matthew to finally write a screenplay without my knowledge of it and to finally surprise me. the next day he called me back and told me that I should check my e-mail. There it was, Innocent Looks 2
and I was surprised. If I was shocked, I know the audience will be.

7. Once Innocent Looks 2 shoots, you've got a brief moment of downtime and then pre-production kicks into high gear for your first feature film, POETIC. POETIC, written by Matthew Cichella, has generated some buzz with its high profile independent cast and it's strikingly original screenplay. How did POETIC come about and what's your hopes for this film?

- Poetic was originally planned out to be a short film, but other plans didn't quite work out and we needed a feature, thus the screenplay of Poetic is what it is today. My hopes don't really matter when it comes to our work, I know it will be and do great. People will love this film. But I am hoping to get this film out to film festivals and finally not have to worry about having to get another full time job to support our films.

8. Speaking of POETIC and its cast, Giovanni Pauletti returns to the  Never Submit family and this times plays the homicidal character Ray Ray, better known as "Cowboy." What was it about Giovanni that brought him into the fold for this film? His previous character, Jimmy Stevens
from FAMOUS, is completely unlike Ray Ray.

- Giovanni was chosen because of his screen presence, his ability to transform into his character, and his ability to feed off from his co-stars. Having Kitsie Duncan, Heather Dorff, Kelsey Zukowski, Marc Pytlewicz, Rob Romero, and Elise Schultz backing him up, I'm sure that Giovanni will be able pull the character off flawlessly.

9. Jumping ahead for a moment, after the dust settles for POETIC, what's next? If Mitch Wright II had his way, what would Never Submit Entertainment do next?

- If I had it my way, I would pull an old screenplay off of the shelves and show the world what we can really do. A straight slasher with a story!

10. Lastly, we all known this business is so hard to break into and even harder to really be successful at. What makes you, or Never Submit, stand out from the rest of the pack? What about you and your company is going to give you the ability to be around, shooting films 10 years from now?

- Just the name of the company tells you my answer. We never tap out, never give up, Never Submit!!!!

Gary Kozlowski joins POETIC!

Gary Kozlowski is a man of few words. Truth is, he doesn't have to say much. He just has to show up. Thus was the cast in 2006 when Gary showed up at a casting call for "Obsession," a short film Matthew Cichella was directing. Gary walked in the room, sat across the table from the director and just stared at him. That was his audition ...and that was all he had to do. Years have passed since that audition, but every time a script is written, Gary knows he'll be one of the first people contacted.

"Gary is probably one of the nicest guys I've met." Matthew states, when asked about Gary's involement with POETIC. "The thing is you wouldn't know that unless you talked to him. One look at his head shot and you can make the assumption this is one bad mother ...yeah, you know. And that's what's crazy about Gary. He sucks you in with his presence. When on screen he commands your presence at all times and with the role he is playing in POETIC, a very crucial role, we needed someone who could do just that."

Gary Kozlowski will be playing the role of Nico. Not many details were released about the character, but we can confirm it will be a pivotal role to the film. Truth is, Gary isn't even completely in the loop about what the film has in store for him, but he's ready and willing and excited to be involved.

"Acting in a Never Submit Entertainment movie is like agreeing to a blind date and the chick always turns out to be hot!" Gary enthusiastically stated. "Basically I was not expecting the script to be so intense! It's just another movie Matthew will once again out due his previous work with. I'm excited and really cant wait to see all of fellow actors and actresses from previous movies come together for another masterpiece!"

More POETIC casting announcements! Plus news on INNOCENT LOOKS II.

POETIC, a psychological horror film, centers on a young married couple in a life threatening situation when a homicidal maniac, simply known as "Cowboy," takes them hostage in their own home. Lies, secrets and a shocking betrayal become exposed and this Cowboy has some thoughts of his own on just what needs to be done to rectify the situation.

POETIC: TWO HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Over the past few weeks we have announced some wonderful and talented people joining the cast of Never Submit Entertainment's POETIC. Kitsie Duncan, Heather Dorff, Giovanni Pauletti, Kelsey Zukowski, and Rob Romero are all confirmed for the film, but today we have two more announcements and they are just as big as the rest of the cast announcements were.

You already know that Giovanni Pauletti will be playing Ray Ray, otherwise known as "Cowboy" and Kitsie Duncan will be playing Riley, one half of the married  couple who is taken hostage in their home. What you don't know is who will be playing the other member of that couple. That is, until now.

Marc Pytlewicz has officially joined POETIC and he will be playing the role of Jackson, the husband who is taken hostage by Cowboy. Marc, a friend of fellow POETIC cast member Giovanni Pauletti, was actually recommended for the role by Giovanni.

"I was approached by Giovanni to see if i'd be interested in maybe playing a role in Poetic.  I didn't know what it was all about but was told to read it and get back to him on what I thought." Marc stated when asked about his joining POETIC. " Right from the beginning i was intrigued by the script because of the intensity that it starts with.  As I kept going the many layers of emotions that the characters go thru and the intesity of the situations kept me wanting to read more.  i also liked the erie creepy feeling of this maniac 'Cowboy' was able to come into the homes of these people and terrorize them emotionally and physicsally. The creative mind of the writer, Matthew Cichella and the other actors in the film just made me want to be a part of it."
But there is a little more than what meets the eye, as for what truly brought Marc onto the project. That being he has a little more in common with the main character, Jackson, that maybe he would like.
"As for what drew me to Jackson was some of the similarities that he has in his life to what I've gone through in mine.  I could relate to his problems quite well and have also been on the other side of it too.  As for the acting part of it, the range of emotions that he goes through also drew me to the character.  Jackson goes from one end of the emotional spectrum to the next and back and I feel it will be a welcoming challenge to bring it all to life.  To be an actor has been my dream for a long time and it's characters like this that make me want it even more."

We at Never Submit Entertainment are very happy to announce Marc's casting and believe he will make a wonderful addition to this already all-star cast POETIC has assembled.

But that's not it for the POETIC casting announcements. Next up is one that will make a lot of our male fans happy, and that is that "future Playboy playmate" Elise Schultz has been confirmed to be playing the role of Ashley, Riley's best friend.

Never Submit Entertainment fans may remember Elise from her stint in One Night Stand, which unfortunately was only seen through promotional videos, but she made enough of an impact for director Matthew Cichella to want to work with her again.

"I love working with Elise. She's a great actor, a great person and just an all around trooper. I'll never forget shooting One Night Stand in the freezing cold weather, maybe 20 degrees outside and poor Elise is running around, half dressed and being beaten like a rag doll by Gary Kozlowski, who is about 250lbs." Matthew recalls. "She never complained once. She's a great. I can't say enough about Elise. All I knew was I wanted to work with her again ....and again. She's that good."

As for Elise, it appears the feeling is mutual. We caught up with Elise, who was heading out for a family vacation, having just recently returned from a Playboy casting call, but the actress did have a few moments to let us in on what it was about Ashley that made her want to join POETIC.

"I wanted to play Ashley because I could relate to the character very easily; her relationship and her friendship with Riley.... Ashley and I are very much the same, which might be a bad thing after reading the script!" Elise laughs, thinking about Ashley's behavior in the script. "But her reactions and personality are very similar to mine, which drew me to the role of Ashley."
As for Matthew Cichella, Elise seems to return the sentiment. Those cold nights shooting One Night Stand seemed to pay off for our director. "I'm just really excited to work with Matt again.... he's so Awesome to work with & always a blast!"

INNOCENT LOOKS 2: ONE YEAR LATER...
A few weeks ago we announced that Innocent Looks 2 was going into production and that Melissa Revels would be returning to reprise her role as Amy, the unsuspecting serial killer. Rob Romero was also announced as joining the cast as Mr. Patterson, a character mentioned but never introduced in the original film.

Today we can announce that Innocent Looks 2 will begin filming in late May 2011, in hopes of being completed in time to premiere at the On The Waterfront Film Festival.

"Innocent Looks ended with a shock that left viewers wondering what was going to happen next." Director and writer Matthew Cichella mentions, when asked why the sequel was being made so quickly after the first. "I've been asked hundreds of times now. What happens next? Up until now I didn't really have an answer to give. But I think it's time we let everyone in on what happens next ...Innocent Looks 2 is all about the closure of that story."
Innocent Looks 2, starring Melissa Revels, goes in to production later this month, but next week you can find out just who else is going into production with Ms. Revels as we reveal the leading actor who will star opposite her. And maybe let the fans in on a little detail fans of the first film might have noticed as not been addressed yet. More on that ....next week!

 POETIC: HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Over the past few weeks we have announced some wonderful and talented people joining the cast of Never Submit Entertainment's POETIC. Today is no different. Much like last week, with the announcement of the talented beauties, Kitsie Duncan and Heather Dorff joining the cast, today's newest actress is just as beautiful and talented.

We are very proud and excited to announce that Kelsey Zukowski has signed on to play the very important role of Peyton.

"Peyton, along with her husband Ben, help set the tone for the film and really kick us into high gear right from the get go so it was very important that the actress who played Peyton was someone who was going to grab the attention of the audience right away." Explained director Matthew Cichella, when asked about Kelsey joining the cast. "There were a few people I had in mind to ask, all very talented people, but I remember watching The Social Media Massacre and I just loved her performance. Peyton is much different than the usual type cast roles I see Kelsey in, but this role will give her a chance to show everyone her range. It's a very dynamic role, to say the least."

As you can tell, Matthew Cichella is very excited about Kelsey joining the cast. We caught up with Kelsey as well and asked her thoughts on Poetic and the all important role of Peyton.

"Before I was even approached about being involved, I was attracted to Poetic. When done right home invasion films can be utterly terrifying. They destroy the conceived notion of your home being a safe place, free from harm. Upon reading the script I saw that Poetic was far more personal and really something outside of this sub-gene. With the world it portrays, everyone is flawed, deceptive, and it’s debatable if they are even worthy of forgiveness ." An enthusiastic Kelsey goes on to explain her being drawn to Peyton. "While I haven’t been in the same situation as my character, Peyton, I have experienced something that wasn’t too far off. I’ve felt the same emotions and conflicted thinking in the past. It will be interesting to explore a more tragic version of how damaging that can be.”

As if the announcement of Kelsey Zukowski joining the cast wasn't big enough, we have yet another huge announcement to make. This time straying away from the casting announcements of the past few weeks, and centering more on the behind the scenes action. For specifically, adding a new member to the team.

Never Submit Entertainment is proud to announce that Justin R. Romine, co-owner of Fathead Films, has joined POETIC as a producer! Justin is an actor, writer, director, editor, cinematographer and producer. He has directed the short films Dwelling, The Cafe, The Rawhide Stagecoach Robbery of 1908, Tape: the Musical and the television travel show pilot Weekend on Wings. Justin has also worked as a cinematographer for the films Fishing Amy, Dead Ends, and My Father’s Watch.

"As a filmmaker I was attracted to Poetic because the characters are so well developed." Justin states when asked what it was about Poetic that intrigued him to join the team. "When I read the script it captured me right away and I knew I had to be part of this project."

Over the past few weeks, you've heard every cast or crew member announced say the exact same thing. Once they read the script, they knew they had to be apart of the film! YOU too can be apart of this psychological horror film by donating to the IndieGoGo campaign. There are some amazing perks like getting the DVD before its official release, as well as your name in the credits as a producer! And just to make it that much sweeter, if you're coming on board as a producer, we'll put you in the blog as well!

Stay tuned for further updates next Sunday as we announce more POETIC cast, and also a few more details about Innocent Looks 2.

Thanks for your continual support!

POETIC: 3 HUGE CASTING ANNOUNCEMENTS!

"A young married couple find themselves in a life threatening situation when a homicidal maniac, simply known as "Cowboy," has taken them hostage in their own home." Explains writer and director Matthew Cichella. "Lies, secrets and a shocking betrayal become exposed and this Cowboy has some thoughts of his own on just what needs to be done to rectify the situation."

Last week, we made the huge announcement that Giovanni Pauletti would be starring in Never Submit Entertainment's feature film, POETIC as the homicidal manic simply known as Cowboy.

This week we have not one, not two, but three casting reveals and they are going to be huge!

First up, we are very proud and happy to announce that Kitsie Duncan will be joining the cast, playing the female lead role of Riley, the wife that is taken hostage by Cowboy. Kitsie is known for her amazing performance in the film "Lethal Obsession" and will very soon be appearing in Travis Legge's Monster Mash.

Much like Giovanni Pauletti, it appears it was a no contest when casting Kitsie for this role as director Matthew Cichella explains she was the one and only person he offered the role to.

"I've followed Kitsie's career for a while now, and we've all seen her be the villain in her films. And she's terrific at it. No doubt about it, but for me, I knew there was so much more in her range of acting that she just hasn't gotten a chance to show. So she was the first person I sent the script to when looking for a Riley. I wasn't sure if she would do it - it's extremely intense and definitely going to be out of the comfort range for a lot of actresses, but not Kitsie. She wanted the role and jumped at the opportunity. I didn't let her on at first it was a done deal ...she fought for the role ...and that just means she is really gonna blow people away when they see this."

Kitsie Duncan is currently filming the Darkrider Studios production, Mother's Blood, so her time is very sparse at the moment, but we did manage to catch up with her, while she was running on no sleep at all, and she was still kind enough to give us a brief statement about her involvement with Poetic.

"I wanted to be a part of POETIC because of the intense story line, It reminds me of CAPE FEAR and the intensity of that film." explains Kitsie. "I fought for the role of Riley because it is a part like none other that I have played before.  I really felt for her when I read the script."

As if the announcement of Kitsie joining the cast was not big enough, we still have two more announcements. And the next announcement is one that we are very excited to let everyone in on and that is that Heather Dorff has joined the cast and she will be playing the role of Julie, the wife of Cowboy, who has a few secrets of her own.

"Once I read the script for POETIC I was dead set on being part of the project." Heather revealed. "Not only is the script unique and interesting but those involved thus far are also awesome and talented people. Some I've worked with before and some I've only heard great things about but I am extremely excited and honored to be part of this film!"

Much like Kitsie was earlier, Heather is also keeping busy on the Mother's Blood set, but she also took a few moments to tell us what it was about the role of Julie that made her want to take part in this psychological thriller.

"The role of Julie stood out to me right from the start. Not only is the role one that will effectively show and broaden my range as an actress, but also be unique to anything else I've done previously, all while allowing me to play the always fun role of the antagonist."

When asked about Heather Dorff joining the cast Matthew Cichella was very enthusiastic about the chance to work with her. "Heather is amazing. She starred in Ron Purtee's Social Media Massacre, which I executive produced, and while I didn't get a chance to work with her on set at the time, I did know I wanted to work with her someday. She's so talented and I really think this role is going to show off her talent in a way people won't expect. It's so different for her ...it's going to be amazing!"

And that's not it for the casting announcements. We still have one more to go! Rob Romero will be once again going in front of the camera for Never Submit Entertainment and this time he'll be playing the role of, Randy. Rob was announced last week as the church going Mr. Patterson in Innocent Looks 2, but this time around he will be playing someone completely the opposite.

"Why did I chose to take on the role of Randy? That's an easy one. This character I feel offers the viewer a sense of an 'I don’t give a shit attitude' and a just leave me the hell alone persona. There are times in my own life that I feel the same way as Randy."

Rob may be new to the acting world, but he's making some serious strides and if one thing is for sure, it's he knows exactly what he's looking for!

"When I read the script, it was very apparent to me that Mr. Cichella wrote it with a sense of Passion. As I completed my reading of Poetic, I totally believe it has a powering storyline, with interesting characters, that will drive people to want to see this film more than once and recommend it to others. Envisioning this is what drove my own passion to want be a part of this film."

HUGE UPDATES! POETIC, Innocent Looks 2 and Friday the 13th: The Obsession!

Our first feature film, POETIC. First news and cast reveal.

For weeks now, we have heard Never Submit Entertainment discuss their upcoming feature film, Poetic. The casting call went out, the script has been shopped around and a few actors have been signed to deals. But majority of people, especially those that are casual fans of the company, have been left scratching their heads, wondering - what is Poetic?

"A young marriage couple find themselves in a life threatening situation when a homicidal maniac, simply known as "Cowboy," has taken them hostage in their own home." Explains writer and director Matthew Cichella. "Lies, secrets and a shocking betrayal become exposed and this Cowboy has some thoughts of his own on just what needs to be done to rectify the situation."

Director Cichella tries to stay tight lipped when it comes to the story of Poetic, but did have this to say. "This film is so intense. It's full of twists and turns and... it's really hard to explain because you don't want to give anything away! People are really going to be surprised by this film ...I hope so anyway."

The Poetic news does not stop there! We just heard Matthew Cichella talk about this homicidal maniac known simply as Cowboy. Today we can confirm the actor who will be portraying the character and he is a very familiar face to the Never Submit audience.

"The character of "Cowboy" is a very unique character as he goes through several transitions in the film. He is not your typical slasher or horror villain." Matthew explains when asked about who would you playing Cowboy. "I knew from the moment I created the character who I wanted to play the role. There was really only one option for me. One guy I could just see in the role from the beginning."

The actor Matthew Cichella is speaking of? Well, that would be the man most popularly known as "Jimmy Fuckin' Stevens" from FAMOUS, Giovanni Pauletti.

"Cowboy is every actors dream role." explained Giovanni, when asked why he wanted to play the Cowboy role. "I wanted to take on this role because it's unlike anything I've ever done as an artist and most likely will never be able to do again. Cowboy is a man seeking both answers and revenge and you never how far he will go to get it. I will have to take my mind and body to places it's never been being Cowboy and I look forward to the challenge."

Fans can help out on the production of Poetic by donating to the IndieGoGo campaign. There are some amazing perks like getting the DVD before its official release, as well as your name in the credits as a producer! Check it out.

There will be more Poetic news to come in the following weeks as we reveal more of the cast and plot points for this upcoming feature film.

INNOCENT LOOKS 2 - Guess who's back? And she's not alone!

Innocent Looks was the film that started it all for Never Submit Entertainment. It was a seven minute short film created for the sole purpose of the On The Waterfront Film Festival. No one at Never Submit ever expected the reaction that the film got at the 2010 film festival, but one thing was for certain ....it was a very popular success.

As with any film that is a success in the film making business, whether it be financial or otherwise, it can only mean one thing: sequel.

"The truth is I always had an idea for a sequel." Director Matthew Cichella replies when asked if he was "cashing" in on the buzz the short film created for his company late last year. "It was a short film. There is only so much you can do with it, but as you see with the ending reveal, we sort of left it wide open. There was a reason behind that. Yes, it was supposed to be that shocking ending, and I think it did that, but now we need to end the story. What happens to the brother and sister and how does it all come to a head? Innocent Looks 2 tells us just that."

And today, not only can we confirm that Innocent Looks 2 is on the dock for filming in May 2010, but we can have two casting reveals.

The first reveal will come as no surprise, but it is an addition the film could not be made without. Melissa Revels will return as Amy, the sweet and lovable girl who turns out to be a serial killer in the closing moments of the original.

"I try to work with Mel in any film I do. She's the complete package. She's dedicated, very talented and she's pretty easy on the eyes." explains Matthew Cichella. "I'm happy any time I get to work with her and truthfully, if she would have said no ...there would have been no sequel. We're not doing that recasting of actors for same roles thing here. Never have been a fan of that."

Also, fans will remember Amy's brother, played by Ty Yaeger in the original, going on about how his sister was too worried about "bingo numbers" and Amy replied she was doing it for Mr. Patterson. The original film never put a face to name, but the sequel plans to change that as fans will be introduced in the church man and the person responsible for bingo night returning. Mr. Patterson will be played by Rob Romero. This is Rob's first time appearing in a Never Submit Entertainment film, but something tells us, it will not be his last.

"Rob's a great guy. He was helping promote the Never Submit Entertainment films before I ever said a word to him. He's that awesome of a guy. He just loves this business. Loves indie film." Matthew replies when asked about Rob's sudden appearance. "It's no huge secret I try and use the same people in all my films. I stand by the fact that film making is a team effort and I want the best team possible. I know I am learning as I go along and I need those great people to help balance it all out. Rob is one of those people. He's really passionate and just an all around great guy. Not to mention he's a great actor. I saw him in Travis Legge's Holiday Carvings and was very impressed with his performance!"

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE OBSESSION - Director Joe Patnaud signs on the dotted line!

Joe Patnaud, director of "Cold Heart Of Crystal Lake" from 2003 and  "Friday the 13th: The Storm" from 2009 as well as over 5 of his own original short films (Snuff, Samhain 101) will shoot Episode 1 of "Friday The 13th: The Obsession" when the web series begins production this summer and be shown online from summer thru Halloween. Joe has already talked with creator Tim Whitfield about what this monumental first episode will include, and what he feels he can bring to it.

"I really wanted him to start the Obsession series for several reasons." admits series creator Tim Whitfield, "First is that I am playing Jason, and the first episode has a major 'Friday the 13th' sequence that involves me playing the character and interacting/fighting with several victims in the woods, and Joe is the only one to ever direct me behind the mask, both in Cold Heart and The Storm and I want that direction behind the mask. The other reasons are he is a big Jason fan, and a great shooter/director, and the series has to start BIG, and has to look like a Jason film. Check out "The Storm", and you will see there really is no other choice BUT him."

POETIC: Casting News...

Never Submit Entertainment's follow up to "FAMOUS", our first feature film, POETIC, is NOW CASTING for our final three open roles! Two female characters and one male.

Tentatively scheduled for a late May, early June shoot, however we are willing to work with actors schedules as much as possible.

Several of the roles have been filled and others are "being worked on" with other actors, however, there are still a few great roles left and believe me, after you read this script, you'll want to be in the film. It's that good! :)

We're only listing the roles that are currently available so please check them out and if you're interested in reading the script send director Matthew Cichella a message either on Facebook or via email and we will get it over to you asap.

Thanks for your time and your interest!

Julie: Mid-late twenties. She's damaged and looking for a way out. Married to an abusive, psychotic husband. Has been sneaking around late hours trying to find that perfect man who will save her from her husband. She thinks she has found ...but her husband just may have found out too.

Ben: Mid-late twenties. Self-absorbed and feels he can do no wrong. He has been running around on his wife for the past few months, showing no signs of remorse and no concern for what he is doing to his marriage. He can talk himself out of just about any situation. He is a "free bird" in every sense of the word. Until he finally runs into a situation he can't get himself out of.

Peyton: Mid-Late twenties. Married to Ben. Has been enabling his cheating and lying ways for far too long. She's not one to give up on her husband, no matter how wrong he has been to her. She still feels as if there is something worth saving in her marriage. But as more lies and secrets come out she begins to wonder if she has held on to something not worth saving ...unfortunately it may be too late to change it now.

Again, these are the roles we are seeking at the moment. There may be more roles opening in the future so please keep an eye out and we will definitely keep the updates on the Never Submit Entertainment Facebook and our official website.

Thanks for checking us out and we hope to work with you soon!
